Yes, children are welcome.  For outside activities we have  a wide, green lawn with endless possibilities.  Bring your own toys for the kids or make use of our rugby & soccer balls that we offer for free.  Inside they can play board games we provide or you can bring your own.

No, unfortunately not.  You are more than welcome to try our popular Ploughman’s Platter, a winner with every wine tasting.   

Yes, we do offer tailor-made tours.  Please phone in advance to book.  They are not scheduled on a daily basis.

Yes, you can host a private event/ function at our tasting room.

 

Yes, you can purchase wine at our tasting room at cellar price.

Unfortunately we don’t have transportation available on our farm for visitors. You need to have your own transport

Our Tasting Room offers a delightful culinary experience from Thursday to Saturday. Options vary from breakfast to light lunches served with a selection of beverages and barista coffees.   

Our menu is seasonal, ensuring fresh and exciting options.  For a preview, please contact us and our team will be happy to provide details about our current dishes.

We welcome guests on a walk-in basis for meals at our Tasting Room. However, for larger groups or special arrangements, feel free to contact us in advance to ensure seamless service.

While we offer delectable food options, the primary focus remains on the wine and wine tasting. Our Tasting Room is designed to accentuate the wine-tasting experience while providing delightful culinary accompaniments.

Our Tasting Room is open from 08:00 – 17:00 Monday  to Friday and 10:00 – 15:00 on Saturdays and Sundays, when we serve breakfast and light lunches. However, please note that our focus remains on wine tasting, and food offerings complement this experience.

Our light lunches feature a selection of dishes perfect for a casual yet satisfying meal, designed to pair harmoniously with our wines.

Absolutely! Alongside our wines, we offer a range of beverages, including coffee, tea, lattés, cappuccinos and more to enhance your tasting experience

Cottage

Unfortunately, pets are not permitted at the Buchukloof Cottage due to the wildlife presence and the natural serenity of the area.

The cottage provides basic amenities for a comfortable stay, including bedding, a kitchenette, bathroom essentials and a cozy fireplace.

The area has limited cellphone reception, offering  guests the chance to truly disconnect and enjoy the tranquility of nature.

Access involves navigating a 4×4 path. Guests without a 4×4 can arrange transport at reception, prior to arrival, for a unique journey to the cottage.

 Yes, the cottage is surrounded by breathtaking hiking trails that allow guests to explore the stunning landscapes and natural beauty.

Absolutely! Guests often hear the sounds of wildlife at night, offering a unique and immersive experience in nature.

Check-in time is at 14:00, and check-out is at 10:00. Guests are requested to adhere to these timings.

 It’s advisable to buy the necessary supplies beforehand as the cottage is situated in a secluded area away from stores.

 For safety reasons and to preserve the natural surroundings, campfires are not permitted at the Buchukloof Cottage. You are welcome to use the allocated area for braais.

 Absolutely! Our farm managers are available to assist with any reasonable request to ensure your stay is comfortable and memorable.

Access involves a 30-minute drive along a challenging 4×4 road. Our farm managers provide transportation for one trip up and one trip down during your stay if you don’t have your own 4×4 vehicle. Please arrange in advance if transport is needed.

Unfortunately, our farm managers can’t accommodate additional trips once they’ve transported you up or down. Please ensure you have all the necessary items for your stay.

Yes, due to the remote location, our farm managers cannot continuously visit the cottage. They facilitate one trip up and one trip down, making it essential for guests to be self-sufficient.

Our farm managers are unable to make additional trips beyond the arranged transport upon check-in and check-out. Once at the cottage, guests are to remain self-reliant.

Guests must plan and pack everything needed for their entire stay as our farm managers can’t facilitate transport for outings or lunch excursions during the stay at the cottage.

Having your own 4×4 vehicle provides the freedom to explore and travel to and from the cottage as desired, offering more flexibility during your stay.

Our venue can accommodate 60 guests comfortably. Please discuss your guest count and requirements with our events team for tailored arrangements.

Yes, you’re welcome to bring your decorations. We also provide basic décor, and our events team can assist in coordinating additional arrangements.

We do not have a minimum order requirement. You’re welcome to purchase as few or as many cases as you desire.

Our online shop reflects real-time inventory.  If a wine is listed, it’s generally in stock. However, for any specific inquiries, feel free to contact our team for assistance.

Currently, we don’t have a wine club or subscription service via the online shop. However, stay tuned for updates on any future offerings or promotions.
